About
We love making and being surrounded by beautiful things. The process of making is our favourite part. It's relaxing, meditative and distracting. We love making quietly at home and we love gathering with friends for a natter and a cuppa, brush or needle in hand. We can't make everything - hand blown glass is, to date, beyond our grasp. And immersive shopping experiences still make for a lovely afternoon. But often we can't find just what we are looking for, and find we could do it better ourselves. We make the things we can make, the things we will enjoy the process of making, and crucially, where we will covet the end result.
Some of our favourite activities include watercolours, calligraphy, embroidery, cooking & baking, gardening & flower arranging. We are also up for a new challenge: raising bees and harvesting honey, dipping candles, basket making and more.
On our perfect morning, we're wearing something long, cotton and flowing decorated with white work. We have a latté within arms reach, milky and sweet, with a whisper of cinnamon, like warm coffee ice cream. The desk is strewn with evidence of watercolour paints and calligraphy pens. The kitchen smells of freshly baked Kouign Amann, Canelé and a smoky Early Grey. The table is set with delicately painted stoneware, a glass vase overflowing with pale pink peonies picked from the garden, and hand embroidered linens. Our spaniel is snoring at our feet, and our bébés are playing nicely on the sofa where we are sat, needle in hand, rhythmically working on our latest project.
Not every morning is the perfect one, but we reach for it all times of day, for ourselves and for all of you.
